At 21:49, Signaller Manager @IAmASavageSandwich released a statement regarding the status of signaller applications. In it, he covered what has been done, what is being done, and also teases us with by saying that the announcement date will be released “soon”.
What has happened?
In summary, @IAmASavageSandwich joined the Signaller Manager team in mid june. Due to this, work has been making significant progress. This explains the super frequent updates regarding the applications throughout the past month! In comparison to before, the recent weeks have been filled with progress.
Background checks are now essentially finished, meaning that the list of application passers is basically completed. They’re sitting at a solid 99% on the status bar, essentially meaning that there are some final things that need sorting before they can be checked off as fully completed.
What is left?
In his statement, @IAmASavageSandwich said that the team is finishing off trainings of the new signaller supervisors. They will probably be the ones who will be in charge of actually executing the trainings and assessing people. We still don’t know what this looks like, however I plan to make a detailed yet simple article covering it once we find out more.
Furthermore, they are also working on the new signaller handbooks; this could potentially mean that the handbooks will be more suited for newer signallers, helping them learn the basics before going into the assessments.
Personally, I think that the release date will be around the start of UK summer break. It makes the most sense for the game, and also the players who will have to complete their assessments within a given time frame.
