Following the recent Roblox update that forces games into the 16+ age boundary if it does not average 500 active players (over sixteen) a month, the SCR Prototyping Centre has been locked to all users under sixteen.

More about the game
The game was released in 2017, and was featured in the 2021 Transport Tech event, hence the 168’s destination being set to “Transport Tech”. It featured the first mention of meshed tracks in SCR, new door animations, door proximity prompts which allowed for individual door opening, a new guarding system using physical controls rather than UI ones, and much more.
It is pretty safe to say that the game is a huge part of SCR speculation evidence, along with being a huge preview of what might come to the game sometime in the future. Seeing it get taken down for the majority of players is a real shame.
What does this mean?
I couldn’t find a statement from anyone at SCR regarding this, however due to this not being a main game from SCR, I doubt that the developers will try to bring it back in any way.
It is a shame for everyone, it was really interesting going into the game to experience what could be coming soon, and to think about why the hell devs haven’t already implemented this. Furthermore, I had quite a few articles planned that would have had required information from this game that will now have to be put on hold until I find a way around it </3
Conclusion
In conclusion, the game is down for most players. It is still up for those over 16, but for those under, it is a true pain trying to get in. It is like a big part of the game’s community history has been wiped out.
It is unclear on if the developers are aware, but even if they were then it is unlikely that they would do something about it.
If you have anything to add to the article or want to share your opinion, feel free to message me through SCR Forum or on Discord. Have a nice rest of your day!
